Funding Application Requirements:
- Please identify and fully describe the proposed experience (e.g., research outcome, location, etc.), as well as your background and qualifications for this project.
- If conducting a research project, please list 5 texts/readings. At least 3 of these should be from any Africana course you have enrolled in the past and explain how these texts inform your proposal for this project.
- How does the research project contribute to the mission of the Africana Studies Program?
- How does your project deconstruct myths or stereotypes about Africa and Africans in the diaspora?
- Describe how the experience is helping to fulfill major or minor requirements, or to contribute to your overall academic and professional goals.
- Please justify the amount of funding requested with a detailed, itemized budget. Requests over $5,000 should provide a clear rationale for that level of funding. If using grant funding for a stipend, this should be calculated at a rate of $12 per hour.
- Please clearly indicate if you have requested funding for this experience elsewhere, or if you have additional funded activities during the timeframe of the project.
- Please describe if you have received Lehigh funding for international travel, research, or internship in the past.
